The
RCIA
or
Ordo
Initiationis
Christianae
Adultorum
is
a
process
developed
by
the
Catholic
Church
for
prospective
converts
to
the
Catholic
faith
who
are
above
the
age
for
infant
and
children
baptism.
The
basic
process
applies
to
adults
and
children
who
have
reached
catechetical
age.
This
rite
is
given
to
Christian
adults
who,
after
hearing
the
mystery
of
Christ
proclaimed,
consciously
and
freely
seek
the
living
God
and
enter
the
way
of
faith
and
conversion
as
the
Holy
Spirit
opens
their
hearts.
The
rite
is
not
just
receiving
the
sacrament
of
baptism,
confirmation
and
Holy
Communion,
but
also
all
the
rites
belonging
to
the
catechumenate.
It
is
an
annual
programme.
There
is
always
an
announcement
in
the
Church
to
let
the
faithful
know
when
it
will
commence.
Classes
in
the
Parish
hold
on
Tuesdays,
Thursdays
and
Saturdays
at
5.00pm
prompt.
